On April 7, we celebrate World Health Day. The date was chosen with the founding of the World Health Organization in 1948.

International Health Day has also been celebrated as Health Worker’s Day in Bulgaria since February 6, 1964.

World Health Day is a global initiative that invites everyone – from world leaders to people in all countries – to focus on a health challenge of global importance.

Each year, the motto of the holiday is different and emphasizes a priority topic with which the World Health Organization is engaged.

This year’s motto is: “My health is my right.”
